In 1988, the Paper Museum moved into the former Lacroix paper mills, which became the Joseph Bardou “Le Nil” paper mills. Want to discover this unique place? Find all the museum's temporary exhibitions below.

The Paper Museum perpetuates the rich industrial past of Angoumois linked to paper and related industries. Renovated from 1983, the museum buildings are built on the river and form a bridge. Constituted from a fund acquired by the municipal museum in 1970 from the scholar and papermaker Henri Lacombe, the collections of the Paper Museum have been expanded by donations and purchases since 1986.
