The Paper Museum perpetuates the rich industrial past of Angoumois linked to paper and related industries. Renovated from 1983, the museum buildings are built on the river and form a bridge. Constituted from a fund acquired by the municipal museum in 1970 from the scholar and papermaker Henri Lacombe, the collections of the Paper Museum have been expanded by donations and purchases since 1986.
