Highlighting nature and more particularly the fauna and flora which serve as a setting for the bridge building of the Paper Museum.
Situated on the Charente River, in an extraordinarily preserved natural site, populated by islands and green banks, this Natura 2000 classified site delights Angoumois residents and the museum's various audiences.
For centuries, flora and fauna have been the subject of remarkable and artistic representations on paper, whether plants, flowers, birds and other insects which populate the banks of the river and constitute its heritage. alive. Kept in cabinets of curiosities, high schools,
universities, museums, conservatories, these works impress with their realism and the great art with which they were created. The Paper Museum invites you to immerse yourself in this magnificent universe represented and revealed by the multiple possibilities that paper offers. Discover numerous masterpieces that magnify the beauty of Nature as well as a
animated film “Hello World”, directed in Angoulême by Anne-Lise Koehler and Éric Serre, which will immerse you in the dreams and the mysteries of the nature that surround us.
Made from papier-mâché, the delicate sculptures, used for the film, come to life in stop-motion, in superb colorful settings, to tell young and old alike about the life of the fauna and flora and raise awareness about the preservation of nature and the balance of ecosystems.
A work where sculptures, painting and animation reinterpret Nature, to make us rediscover it as we have never seen it
