Come and explore with a guide an exhibition highlighting the story of the navigator Giovanni Verrazano sent by Francis I in search of a faster route to the India route.
As part of the 500th anniversary of Verrazano's discovery of the site where the City of New York stands today, the municipal archives are offering you a tour of the exhibition.
Verrazano's journey did not allow him to achieve his objective, but on his way up the coast of North America, he fell under the spell of an unknown land which he named Land of Angoulême in homage to the king of France, last count of Angoulême.
