The Japan A Rives festival brings together 4 poles which are manga, video games, Japanese culture and cosplay and will take place on Saturday June 01, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.
In the program :
Dance and sports demonstrations (kendo, Kobudo, yosakoi dance...), video game tournaments (naruto, smash bros...), conferences (bonsai, trip to Japan...), exhibitions, workshops (calligraphy, floral art, manga portrait, etc.), concerts, the traditional cosplay parade and many others on different themes: manga, cosplay, video games and Japanese art and culture.
The festival was created in May 2017 by the CSCS/MJC Rives de Charente association. This festival was initiated by a group of young people from the structure. This project was born from the convergence of several ideas: a enthusiasm among young audiences for the world of manga and new technologies, the presence in our territory of major image players recognized at the national level, and the specificity of the city of Angoulême around comics.
